ESL Resources for Teaching Spanish Speakers

Level: B2-C1 - Upper Intermediate / Advanced

90 minutes

Do your students sound a bit too formal? Are they using words like "discover" instead of "find out," or "investigate" instead of "look into"? It's common for Spanish speakers to translate directly from their language, often avoiding phrasal verbs altogether. However, at higher levels, this can prevent them from sounding natural.

In this lesson, they'll learn 10 essential phrasal verbs and see them used in real-life contexts with a fun video task. And as always, there will be plenty of speaking tasks to help them put their knowledge into practice.
